Typical yeast infection symptoms include (but not limited to) an itching and burning sensation, reddening and swelling of the affected area, a white, thick vaginal discharge that a lot of people liken to cheese cottage, pain or a burning sensation while passing urine, irritation during sexual intercourse and abnormal dryness.

Women are prone to a lot of vaginal conditions whose symptoms resemble those of yeast infection. However, with a keen eye, one can be able to tell. A vaginal bacterial infection will have a grayish discharge which has a fish-like odor. A common sexually transmitted disease – trichomoniasis, on the other hand will have a greenish-yellowish discharge

Similarly, a mouth yeast infection will have the lining of the mouth become very sore and red than normal. In some rare cases, an individual may experience raised bumps that will appear somehow creamy yellow. Still on point, symptoms of a skin yeast infection will manifest themselves as red rashes or sometimes appear as very itchy red bumps.

Note that these symptoms may occur all at once to some women, while others may experience one or two of the symptoms. Of equal importance to note is that the degree also varies from one person to another wherein some may experience very uncomfortable irritation and others just experience a mild irritation. It is always advisable to seek medical advice, especially if one is experiencing the symptoms for the first time, since the doctors are able to discern correctly.
